Wanted – Great aviation-related products that aren’t selling as well as they should be.
I sell aviation products on commission.
Just like a salesperson, I make the sales for a percentage of a sales price. This is very unusual for a marketing consultant, because marketing consultants usually get paid in fees for a particular piece. (A set fee for producing a brochure or a web page, for example.)
But an online marketing consultant should also do the job of a salesperson – you may have noticed that there is no such thing as an “online salesperson!”
That’s because a good online marketing campaign should do a great job of marketing, but should also do the work of a salesperson – an online campaign will contact potential customers, provide information, answer questions, and even conduct transactions.
Because I work on commission only, these clients pay nothing up front. Because my time is tight, I’m very particular about the products and clients I represent.
Here’s how it works:
You have an aviation product to sell. I’m great at aviation marketing and selling products online.
If we agree in an informal conversation that the product is a good candidate for an online campaign, then you and I will agree on a commission rate and sign a marketing agreement. Then we will collaborate on some materials to reach your target market. These materials might include a website or landing pages, blog entries, a Facebook page, a Twitter campaign, emails, postcards and so on. You approve all the materials beforehand, so that you’re comfortable with the way your company and products are being represented. Once we agree on the details:
- I do the work to develop and deploy the materials online as agreed.
- The transactions are completed on the web.
- I forward the orders to you.
- You ship products and take care of customer service.
Good candidates for this business model include:
- Software
- Books
- Educational Materials
- Tools & Gadgets
- Clothing & Uniforms
- Safety equipment
- Anything else that is aviation-related and can be sold on the web
If I were not good at what I do, I could not afford to work this way. But I’ve found it’s very rewarding, profitable and motivating for me and very fair to my clients – you don’t pay me unless you get results!
