Episode 3 – NBAA, Serving Many “Customer” Types
Jason Wolf, the director of Internet Communications for NBAA, has some different marketing challenges than most of us. Individuals and companies that join the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) come from a variety of backgrounds and for many different reasons. Keeping all of them informed in the way that they find convenient can be a challenge.
Topics we cover in this conversation:
- The results of the NBAA Social Media Survey, including some surprises.
- Who in the aviation industry uses social media, and for what reasons.
- Who thinks that social media is for “a bunch of teenage girls.”
- How to avoid “over communicating.”
Jason Wolf is the director of internet communications for the National Business Aviation Association, and has served as the webmaster for the association’s web site, NBAA.org, since it’s launch in 1995.
He serves as the community director, and primary rules enforcer, for Air Mail, NBAA’s series of Member e-mail discussion lists.
Jason has participated on the Dot Aero Council, which helps guide the development and governance of the .aero domain.
He has been directly involved with NBAA’s social media efforts and presentations, and is on Twitter with his semi-personal account @jwolfnbaa.
