I am still in denial.

I’m still checking my phone, expecting to hear his booming voice on a phone call, or one of his hysterically funny text messages.

John and I miss our dear friend, Jeremy Cox, who passed away unexpectedly last week.

But here are ten – just a few of the many, many, many things he taught us:

  1. Use your damn phone. As a phone.
  2. Take the time to connect with people.
  3. Know at least one great restaurant in every city you do business in.
  4. Speak on podcasts, keynotes, events, teaching opportunities.
  5. Everybody is important, even if you don’t know them yet.
  6. Put yourself in the other person’s shoes and find a way to help them.
  7. Connect your people to each other.
  8. Speak your mind fearlessly.
  9. You CAN succeed without social media, and it’s not for everybody.
  10. Love people.

Jeremy left behind a thousand great lessons and happy memories, just in the short time we were lucky enough to know him. And there were MANY, MANY people in the aviation industry who have many, many more stories!

I know he’s catching up with old friends and networking like crazy in heaven. And one day, we’ll be smiling and laughing while he introduces us around there, too!
